Earlier this month members of the eVero Outreach team held a job search and interview workshop at our office for some individuals from Halo Network. They worked with participants to prepare them for interviews and walk them through what to expect during the interview process and shared some insight from their experiences:

“The Hire Me workshop is something very special and close to my heart.

I was honored to be part of Tuesday’s workshop with my FI, Halo Network of Services, and my job, the eVero Corporation – which also happened to be Valentine’s Day and my birthday! The HALO Network of Services has been important to me over the years since I started working with them in 2017.

There have been a lot of difficult but beautiful moments, times I felt like giving up, but my Support Team has been there for me, helping me to pull through and letting me know that I mattered. I am grateful for being part of the eVero Outreach team, who helped make our demonstration awe-inspiring with a packed agenda and a can-do attitude!”

“Halo Network visited the eVero office for our Hire Me Event to learn how to prepare for a job search and interview. We started off with introductions in the Conference Room and handed them portfolios which we prepared for the day. Starting with how to prepare for a job interview, we went over tips like what they might be asked at the interview and how to schedule transportation.

The eVero Outreach team shared work experience and things that have helped us, along with the importance of role models, and how to understand our job duties. We listened to everyone speak, took turns answering questions and showed a video about how to be professional at a job interview. The Outreach team demonstrated a firm handshake, shared a slideshow about our experiences and reviewed a checklist to let everyone know how to best prepare. I shared my experience about working at eVero, and explained my tasks and different responsibilities. I also talked about how I am able to drive a car, and have freedom to commute to my job, plus how I use Google Maps and Waze to navigate to different places.

The whole group got sandwiches and cookies and had some time to socialize at lunch. It was a great experience doing the Outreach event and I am looking forward to more workshops!”
