Hi once more! This is Jonathan Feldman, and today I wanted to talk about my Job Coach, Sue. She’s moving away soon, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to talk a little bit about what she has done for me.
Sue is a job coach for ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities), which is an organization that helps the developmentally disabled with gaining employment, independence, and more.
A job coach helps an individual to adjust to and fit in at work. Their responsibilities include job training, working on interpersonal skills, and creating understanding with coworkers. Sue would often help me with fitting in here at eVero by getting me used to an office environment, or clearing up misunderstandings.
Sue also acted as my job developer. She and I would meet outside of work to look for new job opportunities online. She would also accompany me on interviews to support me.
Sue has always been there for me when I needed her, and always ended each meeting by asking if I needed help with anything else. My answer was always no, because she always did such a thorough job! I will miss her, but I still wish her luck in her new role at the Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander, Wyoming. Any individuals she helps there will be very lucky to have her!
Well, that’s all for me for today! I’m gonna go sit in a corner for a while, definitely not crying softly because I already miss Sue.
Yeah…… no tears here! *sobs*
