Some have never heard of Temple Grandin, but those who have know of her inspirational story. She pioneered many of the theories behind animal behavior that the livestock industry continues to use to this day, and is a professor at Colorado State University.
She also invented a device known as the “hug box” that helps calm people on the Autism Spectrum and had her life story created into a major motion picture, starring Claire Danes.
Though her mother believed her to be Autistic in her early years, it took until her 40’s to finally receive medical confirmation.
Throughout this, Temple was not defined by her Autism, but rather produced work and successes that any person would be accomplished to have achieved.
